Journal of Advanced Catalytic Materials & Energy Conversion (JACMEC)

The Journal of Advanced Catalytic Materials & Energy Conversion (JACMEC) is committed to maintaining high standards of academic quality, transparency, and ethical publishing. The following policies define the responsibilities of authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher, and ensure the integrity of the scholarly record.

1. Editorial Policy

JACMEC operates with full editorial independence.

Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific merit, originality, clarity, and relevance of the submitted work.

Commercial interests, institutional affiliations, nationality, gender, or seniority of authors do not influence editorial judgment.

The Editor-in-Chief and editorial board are responsible for maintaining the journal’s academic standards and scope.

2. Peer Review Policy

All manuscripts submitted to JACMEC undergo a double-blind peer review process.

The identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.

Each manuscript is reviewed by experts with relevant subject knowledge.

Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback.

The final decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection) is made by the handling editor based on reviewer reports and editorial assessment.

3. Author Responsibilities

Authors submitting manuscripts to JACMEC must ensure that:

The work is original and has not been published previously or submitted elsewhere simultaneously.

All listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and approve the final version of the manuscript.

Proper acknowledgment is given to all sources, funding agencies, and contributors.

The manuscript is written clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.

Any use of third-party material complies with copyright regulations.

4. Ethical Publishing Standards

JACMEC follows strict ethical principles to protect the credibility of scientific publishing.

Plagiarism and Misconduct

Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, data duplication, or image manipulation, is not acceptable.

Manuscripts found to violate ethical standards may be rejected or retracted at any stage of publication.

Authorship Ethics

Authorship should reflect actual intellectual contribution.

Guest, gift, or ghost authorship is not permitted.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work or judgment.

5. AI Tool Policy

Use of AI Tools
Authors may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools only for limited purposes such as language editing, grammar correction, and improving manuscript readability.

Author Responsibility
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the manuscript, even if AI tools are used during preparation.

Disclosure Requirement
If AI tools are used, authors must clearly disclose the name of the tool and its purpose in the manuscript.

AI and Authorship
Artificial Intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors since they cannot take responsibility for the research work.

Prohibited Use
AI tools must not be used to generate entire manuscripts, fabricate data, manipulate results, or create misleading scientific content.

Confidentiality in Peer Review
Editors and reviewers must not upload submitted manuscripts to AI systems or external platforms to protect the confidentiality of the peer-review process.

6. Open Access Policy

JACMEC is a fully open access journal.

All published articles are freely available to readers worldwide without subscription or access barriers.

Open access ensures wider visibility, greater citation potential, and global knowledge sharing.

Any article processing charges (if applicable) are transparently communicated to authors before submission.

7. Data Availability and Reproducibility

Authors are encouraged to provide access to the data supporting their findings wherever possible.

A data availability statement should be included in the manuscript.

Sharing data promotes transparency, reproducibility, and further scientific advancement.

8. Corrections, Retractions, and Updates

JACMEC is committed to maintaining the accuracy of the published record.

If errors are identified after publication, appropriate corrections or clarifications will be issued.

In cases of serious ethical violations or unreliable findings, articles may be retracted with a clear explanation.

9. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their published work.

Articles are published under an open access license that allows readers to read, download, and share the content with proper attribution.

Any reuse must appropriately credit the original authors and the journal.

10. Complaints and Appeals Policy

Authors may appeal editorial decisions if they believe an error has occurred in the review process.

Complaints related to editorial handling, peer review, or ethical concerns may be submitted to the editorial office.

All complaints and appeals are handled fairly, confidentially, and in a timely manner.

11. Advertising and Commercial Policy

JACMEC does not allow advertising or commercial influence to affect editorial decisions.

Sponsored content, if any, is clearly identified and separated from scholarly content.

12. Commitment to Emerging Researchers

JACMEC actively supports early-career and emerging researchers by providing fair review, constructive feedback, and equal opportunity for publication.

The journal encourages interdisciplinary and innovative research contributions from across the global scientific community.
